6月27日18時42分に口永良部島の噴火警戒レベルを３（入山規制）に引き上げました。
口永良部島では、本日（27日）から山体の浅いところを震源とする火山性地震が多発しており、火口から概ね２km以内に影響を及ぼす噴火が発生する可能性があります。
このため、6月27日18時42分に、口永良部島の噴火警戒レベルを２（火口周辺規制）から３（入山規制）に引き上げました。
新岳火口から概ね２kmの範囲では、噴火に伴う弾道を描いて飛散する大きな噴石及び火砕流に警戒してください。また、向江浜地区から新岳の南西にかけての火口から海岸までの範囲では、火砕流に警戒してください。
風下側では、火山灰だけでなく小さな噴石が遠方まで風に流されて降るおそれがあるため注意してください。地元自治体等の指示に従って危険な地域には立ち入らないでください。

The eruption alert level for Kuchinoerabu-jima volcano was raised to Level 3 (Entry Restricted) at 18:42 on June 27.
Multiple volcanic earthquakes originating from shallow parts of the mountain have been occurring on Kuchinoerabu-jima Island today (27th). There is a possibility of an eruption that may affect areas within approximately 2 kilometers from the crater.
Therefore, at 18:42 on June 27, the eruption alert level for Kuchinoerabu-jima volcano was raised from Level 2 (Restricted Area around the Crater) to Level 3 (Entry Restricted).
Please be cautious of large ejected rocks and pyroclastic flows that may scatter along the trajectory of the eruption within a range of approximately 2 kilometers from the Shin-dake Crater. Also, be alert to pyroclastic flows from the crater to the coast in the area from Mukae-hama to the southwest of Shin-dake.
On the downwind side, be aware that not only volcanic ash but also small ejected rocks may be carried by the wind and fall at a distance. Please pay attention and do not enter dangerous areas in accordance with the instructions of local authorities and relevant organizations.
